Kerionics receives 12.8 million to build SOEC electrolyser factory in Spain

A new boost in innovation thanks to KERIONICS together with European backing for the creation of the first large SOEC electrolyser factory in Spain. The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has allocated 12.8 million euros to KERIONICS for the ZEROHGREEN project of the IDAE’s Renoval programme, within the European Recovery Plan.

➡️ What does the ZEROHGREEN project consist of?

With a total investment of 37.7 million euros, KERIONICS will start up the first automated production line of SOEC electrolysers in Spain. Key technology to achieve maximum energy efficiency, which will enable the integration of sustainable solutions in energy-intensive industries, accelerating decarbonisation and the production of green hydrogen.

The project will generate employment in the Valencian Community and strengthen the industrial ecosystem linked to hydrogen. It will also consolidate a national strategic value chain.
